Hey T.C..... How are things in my Homeland... I used to live in Pte. Claire but moved out west in '78 when politics were getting nasty...

Hey Nick..  I looked at the H3T and the wheelbase was a concern to.... not ideal for moderate and up offroading but an awesome looking truck. Probably more practical in a case like mine but I love the wagon style. I keep hearing to not have side bars on but haven't had a problem yet but haven't done anything serious yet though.  National 4WD had a open house and was talking to the owner whom was showing me his H3 and he had automatic retracting side bars..... really cool - he hasn't emailed me back with the price yet as I was also asking about the front Winch Mount and if he can get it.... Lots of things I would love to do but when you have a family - they come first.....  Love that DOI winch mount that I have seen on this site (via link)

Have a look at Brian's pictures as I think you would be fine...

Yeah it has a full 22" of extra wheelbase over the H3 with no increase in ground clearance. Although 10.5" is still pretty amazing for a stock truck.

Retractable side steps sound interesting, I probably won't be doing any major upgrades with mine for a while so I will have to remove them the old fashion way!

You'll want them off for the trails.  Most step bars aren't designed to take the weight of the truck should you high center on them.
