H3 Radiator

Post by Bobbyt »

I'm looking for an 06 - 5.3 rad ,I've been quoted $600.00 and might be able to get one out of Vancouver (that's a maybe)

My 2nd options is to replace the seal kit.... my dilema is the turn around time on the repair. I can only have

it down for a day...does anyone know the size of the  seals so I can order the proper ones or is this something that has to be decided upon when the rad has been removed... the leak is minor.. also any suggestions as to where a good place to purchase these ..I live in the Orangeville area Ont.

Will ask nephew about rad he may be able to get a recore for you. If leak is small you can try stop leak (they used it in te 1st US atomic sub to fix leaks in the reactor cooling system) it will buy you time.

Thanks Shotgun...the actual core is not leaking it seems to be the seal around the top part of the tank.. but that would  be great if a recore could be found ...thanks so much for responding

no problem bobby sent request to nephew awaiting a reply. We had a leak on our jimmy in a similar location by getting a recore only took an hour to replace rather than an hour plus repair time. cost was reasonable and big plus to you it's  in Toronto.
