  Check the manual.



On many vehicles you can turn off the lights by simply applying the parking brake when parked.

Sounds like the relay in tranny that turns off daylight running lamps is absent. You could either cover lamps or have a switch and relay installed. Ron crew 08 H3 Alpha

But regarding the running day light.. since I have an H3/M5 since 2006, been through the manual. they say, hand brake and turn the nob, but that is for an automatic tranny, the only thing that turn off with those instruction are the parking lights. It never worked on my 06 and is still not working on my 09. Its apparently another story for Manual tranny. Plaza is puzzled and when they contacted higher authorities at GM on this they said it was normal for manual tranny to have running light always on.

That is why I asked on the forum, maybe someone has a bright idea to make it work the way its supposed to work.
