Have checked fuses and relay,.yet after  (sadly) a trip to the mechanics my ctis still seems to be getting no power ,. ;^( ,.any tips?

There is 2 fuses for the ctis, fuse box inside  and the 30amp engine compartment fuse. if it was the interior fuse, your solinoids are getting old/sticky.bump this one up for testing--15a,  if the exterior, then best check the compressor for shorts.

You can direct connect the compressor to power to test if the compressor is good or not.--short run test only--booster cable from battery to post on compressor

one thing to keep in mind. compressor could be frozen due to condensation, mine does not like the winter
