New Member - H2 from London, ON

My wife and I bought a 2004 H2 last fall when the price of gas was $1.35/L, got a great deal and things have gotten better ever since!  <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />  We intended to use it an a second vehicle, with the possibility of some off-roading.  This spring we attended MudFest (www.gopherdunes.com), but just watched.  We're planning on driving in it this fall.  We also signed up for TrailFest (www.trailfest.ca) for Aug1/2 in Bobcaygeon so we can learn how to off-road safely.  Looking forward to meeting folks at upcoming events!

I am also a Londoner that have owned an H1 for almost 5 years now. I have a far amount of wheelin experience including 2 runs at Gopher Dunes mudfest.

Mudfest is a blast but watch out the mud is liquid sandpaper... Gets into everything and wears out moving parts... I have since retired my H1 from wheelin for a couple years to start working on it and building it.

I will eventually have the H1 on the trail again but not until I get lockers etc.

If you are interested in some offroading I would be more than happy to give you info on a trail run this season. Might even be talked into bringing my H1 out... But definitely wont be as crazy as I was before heh. I also have a Jeep that I use mostly for offroad since parts are easier and cheaper to come by.

Hey you said you will be attending trailfest so will I my truck is on this years flyer so I pretty much have to go so I look forward to seeing you. Trailfest is a bit hard for a H1 but the H2 made just it fine I think he is a member on here to so welcome hope to meet you this year

Hi Injunfarian!  I watched your videos, nice!  I'd love to go out on a local trail run.  Nothing too hard on the truck though, it is my daily driver  <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' />



I will be at trailfest.ca again this year (July31 / Aug 1st).  Already registered and booked the motel room!



The H2's and H3's seem to fit down the Jeep trails pretty good, I got through with no paint damage.  The H1's are a bit tougher, but Austin got through it last year with an H1 with some paint damage, although I think the rocks and trees got the worst of it.  I liked the slow crawl, technically challenging terrain much better than Mudfest...and less clean up.

Sounds great, I will definitely be at mudfest this year(although in my Jeep, hummer not going back until I finish building it).

As for trailfest I have been debating about going to that as well depending on how much work I get done on the rig... None the less one of the rigs should be ready for it.

As for local runs one of the popular places we went to is closed down I guess. I do however have some leads on other private property trails that I will be scouting out with the owners this season. Definitely should be able to get something local going.
