superchip cortex vs. Predator RapTorq Computer

Post by nbozzo »

Thanks for the coments on my last topic!

Looking at doing some more performance improvments.

I have already put  Corsa exhust, predator Cold air intake, and headers.

Looking at putting Throttle Spacer, Mass Air Flow Sensor and upgrade compter ( Superchip Cortex  +34.2 HP or Predator RapTorq Computer +64 hp).

Any on have either or ?

Hey Nick

Speak to Joe Vella (my cousin) 905-669-8985.  He is Vella Performence Engines. He also has a 2003 that is suped up like mad.  He put new ceramic headers into mine and I already had the Predator and exhaust redone when I bought it. he will have some answers for you.

Cheers

I would recommend the Wester's Garage tuning, very similar to the Predator but covers way more parameters and are easier to deal with since they are Canadian!

well i didnt keep track of any numbers (mileage etc ..) so its hard to say exactly but I know Im burning about a tank and a half less a month (same amount of driving) and considering it costs me over a hundred bucks to fill ..over the course of a year thats some big savings ....and when my mechanic asked if I wanted the governor set at 200kph I looked at him like he was retarded cause with my big 38" tires it was working hard doing 140 ...well not no more my big green beast moves alot better with the added hp and torque and for the price ($350) it was well worth it ...but you do have to burn premium (I always have) to get the full benefits of the chip....but I will say my mechanic ,who is a close friend of mine, worked for a GMC dealship that sold hummers (now has his own shop) said he was told that for chips the one made for the H2 is one of the better chips on the market and apparently as long as you register the chip with them if there chip is responsible for any damage to the power train they take care of it ..so they say lol ........hope that helps dwaxman
