I don't know much but what I do is in 99 they went to Torsen 2 diffs there are no clutch packs in any H1 diffs these diffs they are a bunch of worm gears and screw gears. They do not work without the use of BTM in pre 99 truck in 99 they added TT4 witch is a abs system that senced slip applied the brakes to that wheel and got the torsen to lock up enough to get you moving emilminating driver input smart drivers would want btw over TT4 unless ur going to put in a locker right away then go with a 2002 and up because at that point it really doesn't matter anymore

Another question, how big of tires can you fit on the H2 without doing gearing?

Or better yet what needs to be done to a H2 to fit 40" tires

Easiest thing to do with an H2 to fit 40's is don't put air in them.... <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

Hey everyone

Ive owned a 2003 H2 for the last few years and im really getting serious on looking in to getting a H1.As much as i do love my H2 i think i might be better off, off roading in a H1.

I was basically just wondering what are some of the issues you guys deal with?

And as far as comfort/traveling long distances to maintenance and even aftermarket parts?

Im debating on a 8"lift and lots of goodies on the H2 or see if i can get in to a H1

I NEED HELP!!!!!

thanks

Brian
