Cool testing video; it is a promotional video for MileMarker but they do test all the winches in a very controlled environment.

Re: Which winch is your Choice?
While I have a Mile Marker I would have to say Warn builds a better quality winch. Keep in mind my Mile Marker has never let me down.
Mile marker has great customer service as well. but when the CS rep told me I should get a good 4-5 years out of my electric winch I was like WHAT Thats it?<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' /> So that statement makes me worry. Good news is my winch just turned 1 in January. So I guess I don't need to worry about it for a little while. lol

The last information I saw was that the US Armed Forces are still specifying MileMarkers for their winch mounted Humvees.
They used to mount electrics, but after two years of tests they went with MileMarker.
So, perhaps as you state, Warn builds a more reliable winch.
I don't know.
But the American Military thinks otherwise.

Wish I could have gone with a Hydraulic <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... on_cry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' />
But that aside, now that I finally have this bumper nonsense behind me... I JUST ordered my new winch today!
Westin Automotive:T-Max 12500 EW
Sure, 12,500lb winch might be overkill for an H3... but that is kind of the point!<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
