All sounds great. My oldest daughter is moving out on that weekend so if she is moved in by the first then me and the Mrs. should be there.

I had my Stock H2 out and it did fine.... just the mud pits are something to avoid and yes there is always room around them. Steve's list is pretty good - if you don;t have alot - don;t worry and come anyways as we all have straps, tools, shoe laces and Bobbi pins galore so we can get out of most sticky situations.

If you are wondering about the shoelaces etc... our spring run - JL's shifting linkage broke on his H3 and it was field repaired utilizing am advanced designed pink shoelace! Image Funny part is that is worked like a charm and I think he still has it as it's better than stock! LOLImage

I'll be stock for May 1 but will have my mods done for the run after that. In the long run, depending on what you want to do - you don;t have to do any mods if you don;t want to so no worries!!

That's it!!! No more mud pits for me!

Had to clean out the intake system as mud got into it - thank god the K&N filter stopped it at that point - I didn't try to save it....

Now the radiator is running hot so it must be clogged... I washed and I washed..... Good thing it's being traded in tomorrow!

So I think from this point - the water holes.... Fine!.... Mud pits.... I'm going around as it's getting too expensive on repairs....

Funny you should bring this up as I was just saying the EXACT same thing, I've been noticing some mud related gremlins myself.... You're just asking for trouble spending too much time in the mud pits! And haven't even checked my air filter since last time!!

Now, let's not say anything we can't take back...

Mud's not the end of the world, you just need to be a little more aware of what it can and will do. The biggest problem I've had is with the radiator filling up which isn't easily cleared. I'm working on a better way to rinse it out but that will probably find it's way into a new thread.

EDIT - Added link - Mud Gremlins.

LOL - U know this will all go out thye window once we are in front of a pit!!

Something to cover the front end for a short period of time would be good. I literally sprayed and sprayed that radiator with the engine running to help suck it out and it's still a bit hot... which means there is still more....

Problem I noticed with the H3 is that the fins are very fine - so if grit gets lodged in there... won't come out too easy. I'm sure the H2 is the same.... Larger spacing sure would be nice as would make for easy clean-up!
