Nope, but it was verified by half a dozen sources as a clean run. The run slip, the large post board, the marshals I talked to right afterward all verified and I even had a few fellow racers coming up and congratulate me on the fast clean run.
The good news is this is not my normal club so I don't care that much. It isn't like I am getting points for my own season, it was more just for fun for me.
Just kind of ticked off that these Corvette club guys feel it necessary to basically manipulate the results against my little 89hp car... as if it isn't already hard enough for me to pull out a good time in probably the most disadvantaged car in the entire event. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... lleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yeah it does suck but don't get down man! Probably just good to get some seat time before the season starts for real, eh?

I never understood that, people get too wrapped up in brands and perceptions.
The never did responded to my e-mail <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />
I am pretty sure they tagged on a couple of penalty points to a few other cars now... so much for fair play <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... lleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Exactly, nobody is going to want to run with them if they are skewing points...
...this also explains why it seemed like there was a core of more experienced guys and then the rest all seemed to be first time drivers.
Not a good way to encourage people to join <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... prised.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whatever:' />

Re: No Shame... Corvette Club Cheated My Honda Fit
I heard back from them today, they said I clipped one of the stop box cones... which is a 5 point penalty.
I checked with my sponsor who was watching the event... he said he was standing only 5 feet away from the stop box and it never happened.
meh, the guy I talked to was pretty nice about it. Not sure who tacked on the penalty. I won't hold a grudge against the club, but in any case I also don't think I will be going out of my way to drive down there for any more events.
