Amazing weekend for myself and my family. Sincere thank you to Tony and his whole family, who made the event such a success. I hope the Ontario chapter will have something similar in the near future, if not better.

I am touching up and cropping the pictures I took during the rally and off road and I will pass them over to Tony on a DVD this coming Saturday at the airport. See you guy there!

Super weekend. This is Guy (Brew on the forum), desert orange H3X.

On behalf of my wife, I must congratulate Tony, Kevin, Derek for the fantastic organisation, the advice, friendship, ... I was a definite pleasure to meet everybody. Thanks for all of those who made the trip from Ontario.

I participated in the off road event only (Sunday). Heck, I had never even driven a 4X4 before 6 weeks ago when I bought my Hummer. I learned a lot. Shoot, I drove most of the day on regular 4X4. I didn't read my bloody manual, and hell if I knew that you had to put it in neutral BEFORE engaging 4 lock down. HaHaHa. Green behind the ears. Any greener than that, you drive a Lada or a Smart.

Driving off-road is sooooo much easier when you do engage 4 down lock. Now I have the bug. I'll need air lockers, bad ass tires, diff protection, blabla bla.

You are a great bunch of guys (and gals). Hats off. Your a tight knit community (just like my hiking club/friends).

By the way, I have had no time to view or publish any photos or videos. I slept only a couple of hours, left at 3:00 AM Monday morning, drove 3 hours south in New York and did a crazy 14 hour, 31 km, 5 summits over 4000 feet mountain hike with a buddy. I came back home 23 hours later (this morning). I drove my Hummer and my hiking buddy was greatly impressed with the highway ride of my H3 and the vehicle as a whole. He will blab about it on hiking forums and this will further inform people that Hummers do not deserve the bad name that most non-hummer drivers have about it.

I also enjoyed beeing a passenger in Tom's H1 for the last part of the day. Forget about the 'line'. Just drive right through it or over it.

Yea... that part will not happen. There is no way anyone can top that. Each person in Tony's family worked in uniform and did the jobs of 10 people (especially his wife). You would need a small army to compete with the drive and organization of the Cocco family. Thoroughly impressive all throughout... regardless of if it was a Rally day or not. (pre run)
