The Hummer Elite

Post by smit1088 »

Ok here is a question that I have for us HUMMER owners. Well it will evolve into a question so bare with me here lol. We own Hummers and people look down on us b/c we own them (yet they would get one if they could). Yet in times of need they need them. They say we kill the earth yet they will off-road with us ond then not realize they are in the truck with us. Then when you tell them they are helping destroy the earth they so no then I say aren't you with me on this journey. When it rains and their little match boxes are flooded out why look to that which you have dogged out. I love my Hummer and only talk bad about Jeeps but that is understood b/c all they do are weep :'( . Why is the love for the best ORV in the world given the worst rap, but every military private or not have them as the main workhorse in the fleet? How do my fellow brothers/sisters feel and have to say about this what has been said?

A short note to Hummer haters.

H3 Alphas are concidered GREEN in Japan. Comment from government official was not everyone could use a Prius.

In '09 the only suv to make the twenty worst enviromental list was a JEEP the others were high performance sports cars.

When you scratch paint, break windows, or slash tires you cause more enviromental damage than the Hummer does in normal operation.

LEAVE IT ALONE !!!

If you need help and a Hummer stops to help please feel free to state you hate Hummers and refuse the assistance offered.

Agreed! I think that most of the haters simply just do not have the means to obtain this type of vehicle instead of admitting this to themselves they would rather say they do not own one due to the environmental aspect when in fact for the size of the HUMMER it is very efficient. Some people just don't like them but they don't bash HUMMERS I'm strictly talking about the vocal HUMMER bashers.

Problem is, people driving cars are often more killing the planet than Hummer owners...

I use my bike 95% of the time (The Subaru 4% of the time...and the H1... well, sometimes on the weekends)

I take my bike everyday to go to work (it's even faster than in car 10min in bike, 25min in cars if no accident)...

Everyday I see thousand of parked cars on the highway, 2x cars in line waiting for their coffee at every Tim Horton I cross...A/C is at the highest, motor still turning... since it's a car, it's okay for the planet I suppose...

What about those old cars that need more oil than gas to run?

So when someone tries to tell that Hummer are bad... most of the time they don't have any arguments and finally... it ends up they pollute 10x more than my H1... <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='8)' />

It is What It Is! It's not a car. Not a truck.

Not a beefed up version of anything.

It is simply a vehicle in a universe all to itself.[/center]

Hi folks the topic hits close to home when i bought my first hummer 4 months ago i noticed a mark about the size of a golf ball that is rough to the look and feel <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ey-055.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':curse:' /> ,now being the sort to help all stranded moterist, this week end i was in walmarts parking lot waiting for the wife and noticed a guy and girl that needed a boost, off i go hummer man to the rescue and due to the mods i have on the front hood the hood is heavier than stock and the hood came down hard on the end of the battery cable clamp and left a dent that broke the seal of the paint anyway when i went to book some time in the body shop i asked the guy to fix the rough spot that all this time i thought was a off road mark that was repared not so good and the guy said to me that the mark was the result of an egg that hit the truck (before i own'd it)and i thought who would throw an egg at a truck!!!! to help the environment?<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />?? <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> now it's going to take more of a carbon footprint to fix than had it been left alone so to all you people out there who think they are rightous in there methods buy damaging our trucks get a life spend you energy doing more positive things to help your cause i'm a MOHAWK warrior and belive me i know protest but if all you do is suceeding in making people mad at you <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> your cause is lost and damaging property that people have worked hard for won't do it.Grow up and use some common sense. The Bear.

To be honest I don't care what people think, Hummer is an underdog and to be frank... I love rooting for underdogs especially when the perceptions are so wrong.

I have been changing peoples perceptions on it one person at a time; I even pipe up on the Jeep forums whenever somebody starts to bad mouth Hummer with incorrect facts!

No More Hummers on Jeep Forum

Today we had 3 Hummers directed to our gathering by Just Jeeps. We deal with them as they service our winch and supplied our Hella lamps their moto is 4x4's are all in the same boat.

It's just a shame that we do our best to help others b/c it's in our nature and people spit on us like that.....Well I guess thats why we are the only ones that understand each other.
