Super weekend. This is Guy (Brew on the forum), desert orange H3X.

On behalf of my wife, I must congratulate Tony, Kevin, Derek for the fantastic organisation, the advice, friendship, ... I was a definite pleasure to meet everybody. Thanks for all of those who made the trip from Ontario.

I participated in the off road event only (Sunday). Heck, I had never even driven a 4X4 before 6 weeks ago when I bought my Hummer. I learned a lot. Shoot, I drove most of the day on regular 4X4. I didn't read my bloody manual, and hell if I knew that you had to put it in neutral BEFORE engaging 4 lock down. HaHaHa. Green behind the ears. Any greener than that, you drive a Lada or a Smart.

Driving off-road is sooooo much easier when you do engage 4 down lock. Now I have the bug. I'll need air lockers, bad ass tires, diff protection, blabla bla.

You are a great bunch of guys (and gals). Hats off. Your a tight knit community (just like my hiking club/friends).

By the way, I have had no time to view or publish any photos or videos. I slept only a couple of hours, left at 3:00 AM Monday morning, drove 3 hours south in New York and did a crazy 14 hour, 31 km, 5 summits over 4000 feet mountain hike with a buddy. I came back home 23 hours later (this morning). I drove my Hummer and my hiking buddy was greatly impressed with the highway ride of my H3 and the vehicle as a whole. He will blab about it on hiking forums and this will further inform people that Hummers do not deserve the bad name that most non-hummer drivers have about it.

I also enjoyed beeing a passenger in Tom's H1 for the last part of the day. Forget about the 'line'. Just drive right through it or over it.

Brew, when we meet Friday ....your were not sure if this was for you "do you remember" hope to see you soon ..maybe you can make it this weekend ...we are looking to go as a group....Kevin...citiboy...myself...can you make it ...this is a great event..let me know ...T.C.

Following Tom is like following a Bull in a china shop.. what a mess!!!

[/quote]

Now that's not true! They did it on Mythbusters and the bull never touched the china!!! That is until the forced it into the china!!! So that means that You Derek must have done something to 'force' Tom aka the Bull to mess the line up for you! Then again, he might have done it just for the hell of it too knowing that you would now have no line to follow!!!

That statment should be revised,, it was demonstrated on MythBuster that even 3 bulls in a ChinaShop reproduction with many shelvings and row in low density board full of chinaware, didnt break or run down a single shelf nor break a single cup after 15 minutes of going around the aisle.

SO I havent seen Tom driving because he was behind me, ,but surelly if he was like a Bull in a China shop,, it must have been very presise and carrefull driving,,,
