Bad News No Am General This Year 2010

I just got an email from one of the Directors at The Hummer Club inc and it looks like the annual Am General and Silverlake Michigan event will be canceled for this year, I have no further details at this time but will be looking further into it..



This is very disappointing..



more details will follow.. maybe we can help raise the interest and see if we could help them see that there is a reason to do this..

We would need a lot of members.. the cost is very high and we would need to have guaranteed support from a Hummer dealership to provide onsite support to trucks.. and a Real Dealership that knows H1s..



Anyways I am working on getting more details on what we can and can't do and what our possibilities are..don't give up yet, miracles can happen!!!

Why exactly would we need dealership support? Just make sure all is in working order and bring spares. Between all of the trucks the majority of possible break downs are covered.

Looks like AM General will not commit to a date, this is the true issue with the event, not sure exactly why they can not commit to a date but this is what it comes down to. We will be following this very closely to see if we can help in changing their mind..a joint show of partnership between the clubs and commitment will help for sure. We believe with all the uncertainty of the Brand has made AM General a bit standoffish but we are still going to assist our sister club in the US with the proposal for a date.
