Re: H2 Rims On H1
from flash off road.....
The H1 and the H2 have the same bolt pattern. H2 wheels have a smaller hub. H2 wheels are 17" X 8.5". I've seen H2 wheels used on H1's. You have to machine the hub out 3/32's so the wheel will fit on an H1. I don't know that the load capacity of the H2 wheel is enough for the H1. The backset of the H2 wheel is not the same as the H1. The Backset of the H2 wheels are 5.625". This means that they stick out another 1.375".
machining is what I do best!!! let me know D <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/c-n.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':coffeenose:' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/c-n.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':coffeenose:' />

Re: H2 Rims On H1
Guess, I was wrong, the hub is slightly smaller so it will need to be machined. Sorry for misinforming you.

Re: H2 Rims On H1
Just a quick note for the "H2 rim" H1'ers...
The rims do not need to be bored out too accurately since it is the lug nuts that will do the aligning and weight bearing. I came to this conclusion when measuring my H1 rims with taper seats and flat seats.SOO, any measurement over 120.2 mm dia will be fine. This rework should not take a machine shop more than 3/4 hr ,just to let you know for expenses reasons.
taper seat H1 rims--122.2 dia --2 pc steel rim
flat seat H1 rims --120.2 dia --hub dia and 1 pc stock rim

Did you check out this link to the hummer knowledge base? It explains exactly how to do all the work and it has pictures of how to do everything, including the CTIS lines.
