If the jeep is built and looks like it gets wheeled I usually give them a nod etc.
If it is a street queen with bling(this goes for hummers too...) I usually just ignore them <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />
Although this is coming from a Jeep owner as well... Currently own a 95 YJ and have owned a 93 ZJ, 96 ZJ and 2000 TJ.
But none of them compared to my H1 and that is why I have went through 3 jeeps and 1 S10 since I have owned my H1 yet the H1 has stuck around <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Although Jeeps do have their place especially when you wheel with other jeepers it sure does suck getting stuck and not having anyone with the weight/power to get you out.

Re: Next To A Jeep
simple - very sad.
Because
1. I know thats what the only real option left for a hummer equivalent -
2. the jeep is still in production in the same basic design and has been for 60 years and will be for the for seeable future.
3. The hummer is not available any longer and was in production for less than 20.
4. everything else - landrover, G wagon, lexus/toyota land cruiser are not the type of thing you would want to take on a trail. plus the 100k+ price is out of reach for many.
6. Right now, a new jeep costs more than a used hummer (even an H1).
