You just drill out the second hole for the stauns. They are a much better beadlock option than a 2 piece IMO.

I have pix of most of my mods. I guess I could do some how to's for the H2 forum.

here is how I did my tool chest. It's really nice but its not exactly what I wanted so I am thinking of selling it to build another one with a bigger box. lol

I started with the factory interior tire carrier.

Image

I made some cuts and repainted the carrier with truck bedliner in a spray can.

Image

Then added 3/4 inch plywood. I drilled and tapped ten 1/4 inch holes through the woodshelf into the steel tire carrier.

Image

I put some indoor/outdoor carpet on it with spray adhesvie and used turn buckles to mount the box.

The Key is to find a good tool box that has quiet padded drawers that does not rattle etc....

I do not have any specific pictures of my ammo cans on the roof. But if you look on my roof rack in the picture you posted of my H2 you will see them next to my spare tire.

If you look at the sides you will see it is secured the turnbuckles. It does not come loose at all its VERY secure.

I have 2 of those boxes. I just used self tapping screws and drilled them in through the bottom of the box and into the rack rails. You can get bigger ammo boxes. They are really cheap and water proof. I bought those boxes for $5 each.

In my ammo boxes I carry:

-Tie down straps

-2 D ring shackles

-1 strap

-1 6foot logging chain

-Snatch block for winching
