The 21st is more ideal for me right now
Did you guys have a read through my emergency Kit thread at all? I am trying to think if we could purchase some things as a club.
Just as an example T.C. just send me a quote for an ARB X-Jack, if we bought it as a club it could be useful for everybody and cost a lot less.

I am building my business over there. I may be going back and forth for the next 5-6 months. Will be interesting for sure!

Sounds pretty cool, have you been overseas much?

Nope.. a few trips but nothing major like this. I think SE Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines) will be an amazing adventure. I look forward to scoping out Hummer clubs while there

Re: August Alberta Run
I will post this idea for any input...
A day trip with families in tow to Margaret Lake or other areas anyone prefers, on the 14th. Then a more extreme ride on the 21st. People can choose one or the other, or both weekends to attend.

You know - he's not just a pretty face!
I think that sounds like a good idea! I really want the kids to see the lake, and then some fun on the 21st for a regular challenging run.... I think I'm in for both unless the wife says otherwise....
Throw a line in the lake even for awhile....

I've REALLY been wanting to fish the lake so that sounds like a great idea! Plus maybe fart around in the gravel pits for a while... sounds good to me. A more challenging run the week after sounds like a great idea!

Plus I'm betting Gary will appreciate some crazy terrain to test out the new mods...

Re: August Alberta Run
SWEEET!
I still have no definite plans for Asia so can't commit 100% to either weekend, but almost certain I will be able to attend on the 14th. I'm hoping Brian/Friends will be able to join us to help with planning and scouting of course! But let's plan on meeting at Tim Horton's in Cochrane at 9am and heading out shortly after that. Maybe we have a little fun in the Pits first, then run down to Waipourous Valley Road and head to the Lake from there. I've got a portable fire-pit and grills I will bring, depending on firebans and all. So we could have lunch (fresh fish? and BYOMeat) up there too.
The other thing I really want to do is see how far down that cut-line quad trail we can get
(JL and Khamul know of what I speak...). Heading north from the river towards Margaret lake, you go straight instead of turning left off the first long straitway...Shouldn't it actually end up at the bottom of the hill just north of Margaret Lake? (Would be a side-excursion of course
)
