Hydroboost
hello i am new at this, i want to buy a hydroboost for my 2002 h1. the seller is saying it fits the older style alum master cylinder, not the A2 square box type MC.i do not know what he is talking about.would anyone know what i have in my 2002 h1? can anyone help me out. tks1!!!!!

Hey Dominic, The part you are looking for is a 6010096. What the guy is refering too is the pre-TT4 H1s. The old MCs where design for DOT 5 brake fluid and thereby needed the full metal reservoir. The newer TT4 H1s use Dot 3 and now have ABS which required a different MC and Hydroboost!

Not at this time, I probable will not carry master cylinders or hydroboost.In the years of mechanical work, never did a hydroboost.Masters, 6-10 a year. Which is not many concidering you can look at 6 cars a day.

What you are describing It looks like an ebay listing for a HMMWV part. The HMMWV was upgrade to the A2 version in the mid 90's, this upgrade brought it more in line with the H1.
Many A2 parts are interchangeable with H1's (typically- body components, some drive train and brakes) but many are not (ie engine, exhaust, electrical, etc). In general you need to verify with someone that knows both the HMMWV and H1's.
With the Non A2's you have to be very careful as many ,many parts will not fit on H1's, even the very early ones, which where essentially a HMMWV with some extra padding.
