I own a 2005 and love it...as far as reliability...you need to ask some of the mechanics and techs....Roy, Kevin (PolarBear), Steve (Olishooter) would be the first ones I'd ask as they have seen them all and worked on them....

Actually if I am not mistaken - it's 2008 and up (I have an 08) - the 07 still has the 6.0 and the 4 spd I believe....
yes - the 6.2 does have a few more horses, but the 6 spd is the best change as you can manually shift and the gearing is much much better that the 4 spd. It's awesome having that extra bit of control at your finger tips (left side of steering wheel) to tap up and tap down the gears when you are playing off road, expecially on steep decents!

Re: Which Model Year Is The Best ?
If you're going old school H2, definately go for an 07. Not sure all the problems the 2's had, but it was ironed out for the 07 models. Stuff like the door mirrors (problems with the motors or something), problems with the trans cooler leaking into the radiator and some other weird stuff.
It kinda seems like the 08's and 09's haven't been around long enough or just don't have these weird kind of problems as the forums I've read haven't had anything posted with recurring problems.
My 07 is doing well with no notable issues. I'm luvin' it!
