Well i took to my usual shop and they were not helpful. They always have to wait for the warranty adjuster t oocme over and inspect it before approval is give if the fix is over $1500. Well when he arrived and took some photos, he then told the Warranty company he believed it to be externally (or driver) damaged. Riiiiiiight. So because there's some scratches on the skid plate, that means a large boulder or something snuck in there and smashed a giant hole in the diff. Yah.

So they said no to warranty coverage, which of course I was not about to accept. And not only that, but the original shop told the warranty company when they were asked for their opinion, that they didn't want to 'get involved' - Unreal!

I took it for a second opinion.

The shop I then took it to...and he one that will ALWAYS get my work now, is called Offroad Canada here in Lethbridge. He took a look and immediately said 'No way this is external damage.' He did a little research while he was looking for a diff for me and found out this is a common problem! 3 of the places he called told him they'd seen this before more than once!

So on Tuesday I will order a diff he finally found for me in Grand Prairie, and by weeks end it should be installed. In the meantime he told me he will go to bat for me with the Warranty company and we both believe I will win.

As you can see by the pic below, this was 'Catastrophic failure' of this unit. Crazy crazy sh*t.

So Eric with the Jeep is in... the other Jeep guy blew a hole in his motor this weekend.

Also my little brother might come up from Edmonton and tag along, he has a Ford Ranger with 32" M/T's, bumpers, tow points & armor.

Nice, I can't edit the list anymore but we can safely say we are going to have a very nice showing for this event - the best one to date! I'd say minimum 18 trucks!! Hopefully all will show but you always have the odd one that has to cancel last minute due to unforseen circumstances...

Perhaps we should try and be out there for 8:30 and leave at 9 as it may take a bit longer to co-ordinate with this many trucks!

Here is the map again for the new guys:

Thanks for posting this map Dave buddy... I agree with the earlier start time but think it's too late since maybe not everyone will receive the message in time. I suggest we all try to be early and encourage our guests to do the same, so we can leave at 9:30 sharp!

Oooooh yeah!!! With all the rain a cool weather it's gonna be a muddy one... I'm going to the bank to setup a car wash savings account!

And just FYI to anyone coming out for the first time and as a supplement to the map posted earlier, click the link to see exactly the lot where we'll be meeting.

Meeting Area

Tim Hortons is right across the street so definitely grab a coffee and some breakfast before we head out!
