Alberta October Trail Ride

Post by Khamul »

Hotay, Time to set the date so there's lots of time to lock schedules down and look forward to another thrill packed run!

So let's set October 23rd for the run and perhaps plan a little more tricky run with an awesome view for an ending... Start with the back way into Margaret lake ( I still need to pick up my drive shaft off the trail..), from there cross over and head to the falls. We'll have to put Karl in the middle so we don't suddenly see him bolt off into a bog again..Image May have to keep the tow straps on him this time!!! Image

Now this trail would be weather permitting as if there's lots of snow on the ground - this may be a little too ambitious so I'll simply throw that out there for now for a possible run, will review later on when closer to the date of the trip.

We have a truly awesome group of people here and it would be my honor to ride once again!

I was a little tame on this run with post repair bill blues but getting air time scaring JL (and me in the process..) got me a little gitty again!

1) front and rear arb air lockers with a on board compressor

2) Yukon 4.88 gears

3) 4 new Fabtech shocks

4) Fabtech HD tie rods (dont have yet , just ordered today)

install bill is gonna be steep (Im doing the tie rods and shocks myself with my buddy) ... oh and Im hoping to get a set of those fender flares by E&G Classics ..cause Im tired of not being able to see out my windows and mirrors after even a little muddin lol

Nice.... I have to ask as I'm thinking of the same things.... why'd you decide to go all air lockers thus removing the rear E-locker instead of simply adding the E-Locker to the front?

I weighing th pros and cons - I like the ability of air lockers as you don;t have to be in low gear to activate... but the cost will be substantially more.... Is that what made you decide?
