Does any one know if there is an H2 Bumper out there besides Road Armor?
With all that I have heard about them lately, I'll stay the heck away from them.... but does anyone else make a similar bumper? I wish ARB did but I don't think they do...
Please let me know..
Thanks

Re: H2 Bumpers
Iron Bull Bumpers, with an Authorized Dealer in Lacombe, both the dealer and owner of Iron Bull treated me right, addressed my concerns for winch accessibility with removable cover and added the reciever I wanted on the front as well.
You will see my H2 on their site. They asked if I would let them use my ride to display the Hummer Bumper.
They make one for H3 as well.

I bought RA for my Chevy truck, had to have it properly recoated because of rust and so called powdercaot peeling off in big chunks.
Like the bumpers but not the hassle to get what you pay for. My SUT has them but rear one is a touch off on one side guard and the previous owner got the brush off too.

Tough Country use to make a nice looking front bumper for the H2...don't know if they still do or not...you'd have to google them and call them and ask as I didn't see it on the site anymore, but I have seen it on ebay in the last year....

Whoa.... NICE!!!! I just had a look at thier site and I like the look of that bumper on your truck... looks like it fits nice and tight and has a really really nice profile. I'll give them a call for pricing.. Nothing in the immediate future but I like to plan ahead - Man I love this economy...
Your issues are exactly why Im staying away from R.A. They simply do not care about you once the sale is made..... Sugar has one and had to completely rework the thing after he got it for fitting issues, powdercoat, and for hitch mounts.... They are a joke!
Thanks.

Re: H2 Bumpers
I agree, I liked the bumpers and thus why I bought one for my big Chevy but it is just not worth the headaches for the money. As you see it does stick out a lil more the the RA, But I also did not have to cut away my lower rad support just to squeeze in a winch and I went with a 9.5XP that had the best duty cycle as well as the biggest motor that did mean I had to space it back with 3/4" plate stock and added one washer on each side as I did not want anything touching or rubbing to wear away the finish of the bumper or winch.
I can show you nore pics of the winch install once I build my bracket for the control box that will hold it close to the winch and save swapping cables to hide it up under the hood. My hood does not fully open because of my Warn Light bar mount sticking out, but it does open more then enough to access anything as I take off the winch cover plate that is held in place by 2 Allen head 3/8" bolts. Finger tight works when I am using it and never comes loose, but an old allen wrench in the glove box keeps it tight and closed.
I am happy with it and don't have RA rust as well.. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... feSpit.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':coffeespit:' /> I went through the same thing as Sugar did and had to reblast and recoat it properly to get what we both paid for and never recieved in the finish product.

Re: H2 Bumpers
I Looked into Iron Bull bumpers last year and the price for the bumper is $1500.00 plus $70.00 for the extra receiver welded on. Jesse, (the owner) was even going to make me a deal if I ordered during the SEMA show, he was giving it to me for $1200.00!
However since I couldn't put the winch I wanted into the bumper, I am undertaking building my own no compromise winch bumper this winter and I will be mounting a 17,500lbs Variable Recovery Speed Winch in there!! So stay tuned!

That does sound interesting for sure, I looked at all the winches out there including the 16.6 from Warn but the large Frame model would bolt right in my Chevy RA Bumper but the 9.5xp had the best duty cycle, biggest motor and was still a mid frame size that was workable other then the big motor head offset. I already had a 9500 ti multi mount and will use it now for my SUT.
Look forward to see your design and that winch as well.
The RA called for cutting away the lower rad support just to squeeze in a mid frame size, my other Bumper fit the xp much better too.

Dave, I can put you in touch with the fabricator that re-did my bumper if you want. The guy is seriously talented and you could have a true one-of-a-kind bumper tailored exactly to your needs.
I have seen his handy work on a lot of Jeeps around Calgary... best looking bumpers around the city.
These are some:
