Do we have an idea of the trip we would like to take? Same one?

Sooooo...... I guess this is what we have to look forward to now, so we should start making some posts here eh?

So do we have a route planned for this?

We could either meet up Cochrane & drive into Canmore the backway like last year... or we could look at some alternate routes. As long as we end up at a pub somewhere I am good! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Now I am not 100% sure how we actually got to Canmore, so Brian might need to lead us in!

Just found it on googlemaps actually

That route from Cochrane to Canmore is about a 3 hr drive.... which is almost the same amount of time it takes to get to Radium hot springs.

As an alternate... we could leave a bit early from Cochrane, then soak in the hot springs at Radium (which is freaking awesome in the winter!) and then have dinner there before heading back if you guys are feeling up to it.

Drive down there is a nice one too

Another one is going highway 40 (the one to waiprous) and end up in Water Valley as there is a saloon there... Haven't been in it... but looks very rustic from the outside...

Sounds interesting, I would be down for that too.

So we basically have 3 routes we can choose from;

Route A

Cochrane to Canmore VIA Spray Lakes Trail, pub lunch/dinner

(3hr drive, 1.5hr lunch/dinner, 1hr drive back)

Route B

Cochrane to Radium, swim at outdoor hot springs, pub dinner

(3hr drive down, 1-2hr hot springs, 1.5hr dinner, 3hr drive back)

Route C

Cochrane to Water Valley, pub lunch/dinner @ rustic western saloon

(2.5hr drive, 1.5hr lunch/dinner, 45min drive back)

I am kind of split, I like route B... has been a while since I soaked in the Radium springs in the winter.... last time I was there it was -20 outside, was freaking wicked! But route C takes less time and that Saloon sounds pretty cool, it might be better if people are tight on their schedule.
