I just wanted to introduce myself and say how much I appreciate the advice I have found here on this forum. I have been shopping for a Hummer for about 6 months and finally have a 1997 Wagon sitting in my driveway. I have a bit of work to do to get her into perfect shape, but it is overall in good condition. Lucky for me the previous owner babied her and no expense was spared over its lifetime.
Planned upgrades include some engine mods, new rims and rubber, D ring bush guard, roof rack and upgrade deck to double DIN Nav unit. That should keep me busy enough over the next year.
Once I get the time I will be down to some of the Hummer events around Ontario and being a farm boy at heart, I will be hitting the trails also.
Best regards,
Rob from Stoney Creek

Let me know if you find some places to go off roading. I just purchased an H3 and am looking for the chance to take it out. I'm from Burlington. Just let me know.

Welcome to the Club! I'm from Alberta but can definitely vouch for a great group of people all around. I take my wee H3 wheeling all the time and just have the time of my life.. great fun! I've been on the fence thinking about trading for an H2, still not sure what to do there...
Enjoy the new truck, they are amazing!!!

It seems my neighboors love this truck as much as I do. They keep taking their kids over to check it out.... but I know they are more interested than the kids are.

Welcome Rob
We should get together sometime. I'm an H1 driver as well and just live over in Caledonia.
