got the exhaust done yesterday all 3 inch to the muffler than 4 inch out

not much room to play with thats why i routed it under tranny than out

pretty much where the factory pipe was routed

sounds bad ass !!!!

when i test fit the body had to relocate muffler down easy enough to do 2 45 degree mandrel bends



also fabed up the the d rings had to install hood to make sure they clear



got all the turbo piping to the intercooler installed



body is ready to go back on sunday i hope lol

finally got the body on 2 inch body lift had plenty of room

had to knotch the steering hole threw cab a bit

just need my intercooler to arrive and button up the cooling system hopefully test drive next weekend

go through check list

all in all this conversion went well

hopefully get some feedback or spark some interest for someone who wants to do this to their hummer

Looks like a good project, please keep us posted specifically on how well the built 4l80e and the stock radiator stacks hold up to the conversion.



I want to do one similar(12v CTD etc) but want to go with a later 97-98 with the p-pump.



Hopefully I can start making it out to some CHC events and pick your brain on the swap.

If your not too far away im in cambridge

just finishing the cooling system had to put new rad in grrrrr!!!!

all in all the swap was easy

took my time did everything overkill of course

97 12 valve just has a little electronics and a ecm

very similar

i also have complete build sheet and parts that where needed as i went

any info needed let me know

have body lifts on hand if u need one

sounds great, I am located in London. Although I am doing snow plowing this year so I am not sure when I would be able to make it down your way anytime soon I would like to come see it eventually.



I never knew the 97's had electronics that is something I will have to reconsider since I want to fo 12v to make it as mechanical as possible.

[ sorry my mistake 12 valves have no ecm till the 24 valve common rail your rigth had a brain fart lol

Thought so but wasnt too sure since it has been a few years since I really looked into doing this conversion.

Also with the older Cummins there is the "deadly dowel pin". Did you happen to fix this possible problem while you were in there?
