What are you doing to prepare your truck for the Summer (or rally for that matter)

Post by Tom »

What are you planning to do to your truck or what have you already done to your truck in anticipation of Summer offroading or the spring Rally.

I have done:

- Full lighting Replacement (Removed all incandescent bulbs, and replaced with LED's and HID's)

- Stocked the spare tire locker

- Rock Ram kit (finally on the truck)

Soon to install (or on its way):

- Eaton Front locker

- ABS Module replacement

- Front Brushguard (destroyed the other)

Planned:

- New Backup Camera (a branch got the better of mine)

- Kenwood Navigation system (replace the aging Pioneer I have now)

- RubberDuck4x4 front winch plate (better approach angles)

- Potentially replace the front light bar (rubberduck one again)

I want to hear what your doing!!!!!

Lots of people really saw the light on how well the 40" MTR's perform @ Rally 2010 it seems, as there is lots of interest down that path. If you are going down that path, make sure you include a rock ram kit to your list! Get this before the 40's otherwise it will cost you! It cost me a pitman, an idler and a power steering pump.

Should be an interesting summer! Cant wait!

Lol T.C.! Is that because Kev is too busy at the new job?

Lets see ... since last year...

ARB Front Locker

ARM onboard air compressor - for front locker and airing up tires

Fluids changed in front diff, rear diff, transfer case, engine and transmission fluid and filter

Changed the 4:11 gears to 5:38's

Headers and flowmaster dual exhaust... the old one was a ticking timebomb.

following the gear changes, needed a tune...

Custom tune from MGSCustomTune

New NGK Iridium Spark plugs and wires

still to go...

knock sensors and wiring harness

evap canister purge value... replace and relocate to higher ground.

and a High Def Video Camera!!
Norm & Sue
2004 Pewter H2 (with a splash)
2010 White H3T (sold)

I'm not stuck, I'm momentarily inconvenienced.

Hi,

Will do :

Replace old seats fabric with leather seats covers... (already bought)

Full detail too + Repaint some black parts that have some rust (around the winch plate, etc...)

Would like :

- A offset snorkel (if not, just raise it by 4" with a pvc pipe)

- A Bikini top!

- Change my current brushguard for the 2003-2004 style...

It is What It Is! It's not a car. Not a truck.

Not a beefed up version of anything.

It is simply a vehicle in a universe all to itself.[/center]
