H2 harassment

Actually an H2 is slightly more in emissions than a Tahoe, but let's compare GVWR vehicles in the same category, ANY GM Vehicle with a 6.0L or 8.1L engine will be the same if not worse than an H2! A Crew Cab Dually with an 8.1L not only outweighs us by close to 1000lbs. but it's mileage is in the single digits!!! BTW, did you know that the brand new Ford Super-Duty Twin Turbo Diesel F-350/F-450 only gets 10-11mpg...and it's a diesel!!! I have a neighbour with a 2500HD Crew Cab Short Box with the same engine as we have in our H2s  and he can only get 200km a tank...I average 650km! People need to stop listening to everything they hear in the media and start thinking for themselves! Did you know that on a list of the worse polluting SUVs the Hummer wasn't even listed! Instead it was the Volkswagen Touareg  that topped the list!!! Do people realize that any vehicle over three years old that has been poorly maintained pollutes more than our H2s eventhough they only have a vehicle a fraction of the size! Most have never done any of these things, EVER! You are supposed to replace your air filter once a year or every 20000km whichever comes first, Gas filter every 15000km or once a year, same for PCV valve! Fuel injectors should be cleaned once a year, spark plugs should be replaced regardless of mileage every three years to maintain proper efficiency. </DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>Irregardless of everything I have told you idiots will still be idiots but at least now you have a little ammo to silence the bitter comments and hopefully get them looking at there effect on the environment as well!</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>Kevin</DIV>

The Avalanche 2500 uses the 8.1L Vortec. Not sure on its emissions.

Consider this. Most choose to hate Hummers because it is cheaper then loving them like us.
