Good day Gents!
New Hummer H2 owner, and new to this club. The trail ride on the 7th sounds like a lot of fun! Few quick questions:
- I'm new to off-roading. Is this trail something that a 'beginner/newbie' can do?
- What do I need to bring?
- Do wives join along for the ride, or is this more of a boys trip out?
Cheers,
Jeremy

LOL - Those were awesome questions!!!
By all means come along - this run will be quite easy, along the way there will be oportunities to do some more tricky stuff - it would be great for you to watch what we do and see how the trucks perform.
Families are always welcome - my kids will be coming along on this run, probably just my 2 girls as my son has a scout trip that day.
You will want to bring a cooler with plenty of beverages, a lunch and plenty of snacks. Usually we are back by dinner time but there is the odd time when we are later than that. We use motorola 2way radios if you have one - if not I have a spare i always bring along.
Don`t worry about recovery gear as we all have plenty to go around. You WILL get stuck which is often half the fun so don;t worry about that at all. Also bring a camera as you`ll be taking plenty of pictures!
We have a strong motto of watching out for each other so you are guaranteed to have a ton of fun!!!

I think that sums it up pretty nicely! As far as tow straps and recovery stuff, like Khamul says we carry lots so don't worry about any of that stuff. Dry socks are always a good idea...
This really is a great group, I've been doing the trail rides for just over a year now and I can't say I I'm bored of it yet! Most important thing of all though is our safety, there's plenty of opportunity to have fun but no one wants to go home hurt or with a broken vehicle. This trail is really a nice one, very scenic and definitely has some fun terrain. It's on the lower end the difficulty but you'll definitely get to hit some fun terrain. We always stop at the gravel pit before hitting the trails which is a great little area, there's all kinds of hills and mud and stuff to drive through just to get the feel of things if you haven't offroaded the Hummer before, the pit area is a blast. You can try flexing out the suspension and stuff, basically just feel out the vehicle and have fun while doing it.
Just to give a little perspective on the trail difficulty, I did trails of this difficulty with VERY little trouble in my H3 with the tiny stock 32" tires and without the rear locker the H2 has. With the bigger 35" tires of the H2 and rear locker, this trail will be no problem for a H2. I recently sold my H3 for a H2 so I am pretty excited to get it out there for the first time!
Hope to see you on the 7th!

Oh and one important detail... gotta take off the side steps!! They WILL get wrecked if they're not removed!! They're just way too low to the ground... doesn't take much to ruin those things!
