Not sure about the gaskets but you might want to do a head cooling kit while you are working on the engine. It reduces the high heat build up on the rear of the engine.

I have read about a few people who have added the extra cooling lines in NA engines to prevent having problems. They now have 169 000 miles and couting with no problems.

Just thought while he is repairing the heads it would be a good upgrade. He is able to do very easily with his truck apart.
