OPINIONS ON TIRES

Post by Monkey39 »

So local fountain tire is having there summer sale 4 for the price of three... Anyways I really like the Goodyear Duratracs ( mine will be 35x13.50 18's)

Reviews Seem good I like that the aggressive look compared to BFG AT's that I usually buy .. They also have a snowflake ( mtn rating).. I drive mostly hwy and in the winter will be going over a mtn pass daily and maybe some offroad ..... a mud tire would be ultimate but I cant because of the poor grip in the snow/ice

Any opinions?

I have Goodyear Wrangler MTRS with Kevlar, 37x12.5x17 on my H2... love them, had the older model MTRs before these and loved them too, great look, not too much road noise, nice even wear, and great in all weather and OFF Road...

Nooo matter what you get . Make sure you have GOOD SIPING ! Like our President said . MTR'S with Kevlar are great ! Lot's of rumors about BFG since they got bought by Uniroyal . That Uniroyal is been cutting corners with BFG ? like messing with the compound . A Lot of tire forums are praising the Firestone Destination M/T . Great siping " rain, snow " traction . Mud traction is great ! Street handling they stated it handles like a A/T . I run a A/T tire . Not FIRESTONE . If i did run a M/T . It would be theses ! The FIRESTONE M/T'S LOOK GREAT ALSO ! Let us know what ya get !

The Duratracs are awesome, and hold up excellent on rocks, mud, sand and snow on my buddy's long-arm'd TJ. If they made them in a 37 for a 17, Id run em.

Good choice!

Yeah my co-worker put some Mud t/as on his mazda and this winter he was sliding all over the place, I just put BFG at's on my f150 befor i traded it in but just founf they they just werent going to look good on the hummer. We dont get alot of snow around here but I do having to travel over a mtn .pass(sort of) going to work in the winter so the siping was essential..
