It's been a couple years, but I'm back! Some of you might know me as the former Vice President of the Alberta Chapter of CHC. I sold my H2 a couple years ago, but took possession last week of an H2 SUT. So I hope to get back into the thick of things!
Located in Leduc here, just outside of Edmonton.
Hope to see you around!
I'm back!

Thanks!
It is a bit older, a 2005 model.
I would like to build it up similar to Gaza's, but I think he has more disposable income than me. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
At the moment I am working on working some of the kinks out of it. I have an intermittent Check Engine light that OnStar reports is due to the MAF sensor. Going over the service records shows a history of this. I pulled it on the weekend and cleaned it with MAF sensor cleaner and after 750 km, the Check Engine light has not come on, so that one might be resolved.
My only other issue is the transmission seems to slip just slightly between gears. I checked last night and it is reading overfull, so I'm going to drain it to the full mark and see if that resolves it. If it continues to persist, I'll perform a flush. It's nothing major at this point, more annoying than anything, but I'd rather it not develop into a full-blown problem.
It needs a good power polish too, plus some attention to a couple major scratches. I want the scratches on it to be of my doing. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Not far away at all. I'm in the city most nights too, so that would make coffee meetups pretty doable. When I owned my previous H2, me and some of the local owners would get together one per month for coffee. I'm in a few different vehicle clubs at the moment (Ford Excursion, Mitsibushi 3000GT/Dodge Stealth) and we do beer and wings every couple weeks. Might be nice to get into that again! I also need to order some more CHC business cards, though I think I still have a quarter box around here. I used to go through the WEM parking lot on weekends and hand them out. Would love to get into that again.
The disc might come in handy, though at the moment most of my mechanical work has been straightforward. I do need to go over the vehicle with a fine-toothed comb to ensure nothing else is awry, but the previous owned did have about $1,500 worth of work done in it about one month before trading it in. (Though this has me concerned since I do not know many that do that much work and then get rid of a vehicle so quickly. In the back of my mind, I'm wondering if they found something major that was the deal-breaker.)
Either way, it would be great to start a regular meet of some sort. Something where we can plan events of some sort.

Is there anywhere somewhat local that you tend to offroad at? I know that a lot of the areas I used to offroad at 10-15 years ago are mostly closed, apart from the Alberta Safari Park, but it can get expensive going there often.
Unfortunately, many of the Hummers out there tend to stick to the pavement. To each their own, I suppose. I suppose, technically, most of the time mine does too since I drive it a lot. But it still sees a lot of offroad. Well, it will anyway, since I've only had it three or four days.
