When my parents built their garage, they had me drive over my Excursion and H2 to ensure they would fit. They didn't. So they jacked the garage up and shimmed it up another couple inches.
Didn't help the one time dad backed the H2 into the garage with the air suspension raised though. Oops. The Hummer fared well. The garage door coming off the rails and crashing to the floor, not so much.

both my trucks park outside... neither can fit in my garage.. :-(

Dude! That's why I went with a stock size tire instead of the 37s.. (which I later found out still would have fit in the garage...) but even with roof rails I can squeeze the H2 inside and keep her warm!!!! My poor Mustang I kept parked outside last Winter... I went to take it for a spin early Spring and it was literally FROZEN TO THE GROUND Broke the rears free but the front tires wouldn't turn for nothing... I waited weeks for it to thaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am fortunate that the parkades at the airport here are somewhere between 7'6"-8'0" tall. Makes it possible to park there, rather than the open lot. A good thing since I'm weird and prefer one of the bars there to the ones in the city, so I'm there often.
