Allen With Rhino's attack we had the same run around but with two insurers envolved the Normal Truck insurers and GM Motors as tires were under a tire road hazard policy. Each passed the buck until we replaced the tires ourselves. We now go out of our way to tell of the "GOOD" Hummers do.

We also had a tree hugger tell us off to which our reply was it cost more enviromental damage to replace 5 tires than to run the Hummer for several years. Also the H3 Alphas are green in Japan as they use the same engine as GMC full sized pick ups.

those hippis are just plane high school drop outs. hybrids pollute more than any hummer or trucks and it has been well documented. its honestly terrible to say the least.

that article spoke wanders, i cant stand uneducated idiots. they blame our trucks when in fact they are better than anything we have sold now. now they are gone and i honestly dont want to buy a wrangler.

I do not mind the Wrangler. But even when I was looking at used ones, I was in the same price range as the H2. (I'm one of the weird ones who prefers the look of the new Wrangler to the old one, so I was limiting myself to newer models.) So given the choice between the two, I'll side with the H2. When offroading with Jeeps, jabs go back and forth, but in my experience, they are comparable offroad, and both onroad and offroad, even the Jeep owners will admit that the H2 is much more comfortable. Not bruising my kidneys is a bonus to me.

I used to bug a friend of mine with a diesel Smart car that they switched to gasoline due to their engine not meeting emission standards, while GM continued to use the 6.0L in my H2 because it did. Granted, comparing apples to oranges, but it was still fun twisting the knife. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

i know what you mean exactly i also like the new look of the new wrangler over the old one. the only problem i have with it, is the lack of V8 power (there is no question about its off road ability as they are very good) and i m the kind of person who looks at the engine in the vehicle well before i get to the exterior. hence my H3 Alpha. i love that truck and would never sell it. however i will be buying a 2009 Hummer H2 next year especially the fully loaded silver ice edition with the 20 inch rims. or the black chrome edition (assuming i find one) i love that truck its just a shame that the brand is gone. i still feel bad now companies are coming out of the woodwork to replace the void hummers left. like that russian off road truck the Dartz Prombron and the south african built military truck the marauder. Hummer should have remained. i still despise GM for not selling the brand back to AM General.

Yeah down the road the options are going to be very limited. I can't see myself behind the wheel of Wrangler either.

Only vehicle I wouldn't mind is maybe the LR Defender, you can get them in LHD; although I have no idea what is involved in bringing them here.

The defenders are one of the best out there, people forget that they were developed for the UK army from the start.

they will go anywhere; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZrhuSE_ivA

The landrover freelander is the only crossover (and total S*#T) maybe they have improved it since its launch but it had a worse safety rating than a timmies cup!

FYI; if any of you are looking at cars from "europe" check this link; http://www.euroncap.com/home.aspx

Just because I drive a HUMMER don't mean I don't care about the planet.... in fact it means I can get to most parts without any help!
(try that in your prius)

You want just plain dumb vandalism well some Idot grabbed the battery box with 3 aa batteries in it and broke the wires to the Xmas lights in Rhinos wreath. I think if they looked they would have noticed that the lights were just wrapped around the Wreath and would have taken just a few minutes to steal but at under 8 bucks a set why bother. A new set was bought and installed the old one will provide spare led's and covers for both wreath and rack sets.
