My selection of words in Google search is failing me, so if anyone would guide me a little bit that would be great!
I know several people have done this before so I was searching for a kitted / plug and play solution to wire 4 lights on the roof rack (pics attached). Worst case I was planning to run a wire straight to the battery with a fuse but I'm hoping for a nicer setup than that.
Is there a solution already out there that I have overlooked?
Short term goal - hook up roof rack lights to a control switch (I like this one: http://www.adv4x4.com/he12vled2por.html)
Long term goal - get a panel of switches and get some lights in the rear
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Roof Rack Lighting
Go long term ....I took out my drink holders and put all my switches for my lights in there ...switches match my ARB switches ...then all i did was buy some plastic flip up drink holders for 99cents on ebay and mounted them on the each side of the console..there is lots of room for wiring under that drink holder. Got all my switches from a local after market auto store called JB's Power Center (Automotive). Just look for a local shop that handles racing parts and they should have a whole selection of switches and switch panels.
good luck

Re: Roof Rack Lighting
That location for the switches looks fantastic. My wife would dis-own me if I removed cup holders though.. she bases a vehicle purchase on the number and size of cup holders. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

Re: Roof Rack Lighting
Sorry I got distracted from coming back...
What I needed to know isn't there an input to plug that connection end you see coming out of the roof rack bar too? If not, nothing available to tap into the existing harness?
The actual lights that mount up on that roof rack and plug into each other are actually the Hummer brand - if that means it's an H2 oem and makes any difference.
I did look that connection up on ebay but the ends are different. Once I can tap into the power source for the lights I can start playing with the switches.
Any help before I take this in would be great!

Re: Roof Rack Lighting
You're missing the wiring harness and it plugs into the trailer brake conection in your left side panel and the relay's mount right under the dash ...oh and of course the rest of the wiring runs up your left ppiller , threw the roof liner (which is a bitch) and the switch mounts in your roof console ....hope that helps....almost forgot the wiring comes out of the left marker light ..the whole kit included a new plug for the marker light so it doesn't leak.
