I have air in mine and I like the fact that it is smoother than a spring unit when towing, Hauling or off roading. It's also nice to be able to adjust the rear ride height.

Did yours come stock or did you install it after?
Have you drove in one before without air suspension?

I have the Adventure package H2, it came with the air pre-installed. very nice ride especially off road, you don't feel the bumps or rocks near as much as a spring system. Benefit is that the coil over will cost you less to operate than an air system over the long haul. On air, you will need to replace the bags every 5 or so years and when the compressor fails you need to purchase the entire unit rather than just the failed part. But in all honesty, if you drive your truck on normal roads day after day then coil over is the best.

Thats an extra feature not offered by GM, you neeed to purchase this as an after market item and is very expensive. For the front end all you need is the leveling kit to raise the front an extra 2-3", cost for the kit is approx $100-$150.00 and super easy to install. Look here: Leveling Kit heavy duty unit from Truxx!
Look what else I found, a front AIR leveling shock mount kit: Front Air Shocks Not a bad price, but you'll need a compressor.

Re: difference between Air suspension and Stock
Went to go pick up the air suspension kit and had the guy check it out, it seems that there is a wiring harness that my truck is missing so they will not do the install... DAMN!!
I need someone trust worthy to do the install.....
Thoughts??

What wiring harness?? If this is an afermarket kit it should come with it's own. All you'll need to do is take it to an automotive audio installer and they can rig it for you. <DIV> </DIV><DIV> </DIV><edited><editID>MDimitri</editID><editDate>2008-05-24 12:10:59</editDate></edited>

Re: difference between Air suspension and Stock
the system is stock off a 2004 h2, it was taken out at a Custom Limo Shop who stretched it to be a LIMO. Anyways I asked the guys who took it out to install it on my truck and they told me it is missing the wiring harness that hooks in the main harness that feeds all the power to it from the front, I guess when they take it out of the other one, they leave that part behind for some reason or use it for something else...
Anyways he has 6 of these units but what chance do I take in having someone Macgyver this is??
