I initially got the idea from the Club Hummer forums, so when I finally scraped up a few of my fenders to the point of being ruined earlier this summer I started looking into it more.
I had an outfit here in Calgary called "Tyro Coatings" that specializes in Line-X do it for me. They have been really good to deal with, at first they expressed concern the coating may not work for this application. I asked them to go ahead anyway.
After applying the first coat they called me to let me know that it turned out great. The coating adhered perfectly to the fender. It took an extra week for them to find the proper color match to the truck that would be mixed in with the final top coat.
I've seen the completed fenders in person, they really did turn out great. Only a few days away to having it all put back together (at a body shop right now to have a BIG dent removed out of the rear box).
The whole thing cost me less than 100$ a fender to do. You can get home kits for cheaper, but with this stuff I have been cautioned to leave it to the professionals.
I should be getting it back early this upcoming week, then I will post a few pictures. I have been looking forward to this!
Cheers!

I'd let them do the prep work on it, that coating system doesn't need much to stick to.
I am actually looking at having them do the lower 10" of my entire truck body to rock proof it. They won't be taking it apart piece by piece.
So they should be able to do your rack as is without tearing it apart. I'd give them a call directly to talk to them about it.

[BTW, when you call, if they don't answer they just call back all the numbers they missed without listening to the messages!]
My rack I just coated with some anti-rust paint from Canadian tire, lol. I will get it professionally coated later on once I rig up some shovel and light holders on it.

Got it back today; but needed to get all the inner fenders and snorkel back on. It is already dark outside so the pictures aren't really showing it well.

Sadly you won't find one exactly like it and I can't recommend taking the same route I did to get one; it came from Road Armor... but it had serious problems with it. The winch compartment is too small (design flaw) and unable to accept all of the major winches on the market. It also was rusting badly within about 2 months of getting it, another major flaw was the oversight that the skid plat cannot be re-used and without it the radiator is left exposed.
There was a ton of re-work done on it structurally, it was rhino-lined and I had a custom skid plate built for the front.
In the end I spent more on it than any person should ever spend... very bad experience. I made a special point to cut the RA logo out of the bumper and have it replaced with a lemon and cross bones.
I always suggest to people to look at either the ARB bumper (Send a PM to T.C. on here, he is our ARB guy) or see if you can find a Defelice setup; it has a great winch setup and full underbody armor that ties in.
