So I decided, why live with the factory H2 rear air suspension, when I can make my own far superior set-up!
So gone are my Air Bags!
Gone are my Lower Trailing Arms!
Gone is my Panhard Rod!
Now that All the junk was out of the way I now had space to work!
I was tired of having the rear of my truck sag down just because of a stupid air leak, but I didn't want to give up the adjustable suspension...what to do...what to do!
So I installed a set of triple rate coil springs and installed a custom airbag inside them! Now the static weight of the truck is held by the coils and I can still adjust my ride height via the airbags inside them!!!
For the trailing arms, I installed a set of Edelbrock trailing arms. They really help to keep everything firmly in place and allow much better suspension travel and articulation than the factory set-up!
I also installed and Edelbrock Panhard Rod that eliminates any rear sway due to the flex of the wimpy factory rod! My H2 now rides smoother, flexes better and can offroad like never before!
I will post some pics after Nov. 12th...after I give it the first full workout after all the mods are done!
Stay tuned!!!
Kev

What Edelbrock part number is it for the Trailering Arm? 5260? and what was the cost??
I believe the Panhard Rod is fairly cheap.. about 100$ I think..and I have been thinking about these for awhile...both parts..

The trailing arms are the 5260 and I got them for approx. $400. The Panhard rod I got for about $125. Both are well worth it! I get all my parts and accessories from PJF4x4 http://www.pjf4x4.com/portal/index.php?lang=en
Danny the owner will even be dropping by my place on Nov. 12th...for product support of course!

I was told that Edelbrock discontinued the trailing arms , not sure if its true but I know I waited 3 months for my panhard rod cause nobody had any stock around here and I had to wait till edelbrock made more ...hopefully its not true cause it is a good upgrade for the H2's .

It took 2 weeks to get mine! But that is because I ordered a ton of stuff all at the same time and they were shipping everything together, but well worth the wait!
