Hello fellow Owners. I just recieved the invite to join the club from a friend the other day so i figured, what the hell. I live in BC and purchased an '09 H3T Alpha new in March of '09. 70,000km and 3-sets of tires later, I still love getting into it every day to drive. My H3T does not live an easy life too. I work on Run of River Project Site all over BC that are pretty remote (logging road access mostly) so the 'Black Beast' gets a regular pounding on the rocks, in the mud and over hill& dale. Its not a 'Trailer Queen' and it gets used for what is was designed to do; beat up roads and put smiles on faces.
I have done a few mods to it; Front Leveling Kit (way too front end heavy in stock trim), Rancho Shocks all around (tricky mod with the leveling kit and I blew out 3-sets before i got it just right...), UNIROYAL LARADO LT/H 10-Ply Tires seam to work and last really good (BFG T/A's suck...17,000Km on the 1st set and they were shot) with over 50Km on this last set. Mobil 1 Full Synthetic Oil every 10K with a filter change out at 5K works good. Transfer Case, Front & Rear oil to Synthetic also at 25K. I've looked into a Cat-Back Stainless Steel Exhaust from Billy Boat in Arizona but just haven't been able to commit to the $750.00 price just yet. I'll wait till the OEM Unit is bagged I think.
But she does like to motor down the road. 75 - 80 MPH all day long on the highway, and its seen 105 MPH on a nice stretch of logging road about 3Km long a few times (nothing like a 90-foot high dust rooster tail at 100+ MPH...) and I have the vidio to prove it. :-)Lets see you do that in your jacked up F-150 and survive to tell about it !
I'll post a pic when I figure out this web site.
Cheers, cqjhumt3
