Wouldn't this make the water really hot, especially if not in use, since there will always be water trapped in the lines. Also, spraying hot water on an ice cold windshield might not be the best idea...but then again I might be wrong. Just a thought. For me, antifreeze Windshield washer fluid is the best and safest way to go and a cover for the windshield while it is parked outside to prevent it from freezing.

These generally only heat the fluid when you activate the sprayer, any remaining fluid would just cool down after. As for spraying on the cold glass, you can go to a certain temperature, not that I know off hand what that is, but I'd have to presume these are below that temp. At least I would hope anyway.

You just have to love the heated windshields of the H1 when going through winter. Too bad the H2 doesn`t come with one. It would seem to be a useful option and I can`t imaging that it would have cost GM that much too produce one. That would make life a lot easier in the winter.

I agree! It is way more effective than the blow hot air version used by all manufacturers. That and the fact that an H1 that didn't have the heated windshield option didn't need them anyways...you couldn't see enough out of the windshield to be able to drive the truck anyways!!!
