You want just plain dumb vandalism well some Idot grabbed the battery box with 3 aa batteries in it and broke the wires to the Xmas lights in Rhinos wreath. I think if they looked they would have noticed that the lights were just wrapped around the Wreath and would have taken just a few minutes to steal but at under 8 bucks a set why bother. A new set was bought and installed the old one will provide spare led's and covers for both wreath and rack sets.
Stupid freaking people... why can't they just leave other peoples stuff alone?
Well at least it might not have been motivated by Hummer hate, maybe it was somebody who hates Christmas?

The defenders are one of the best out there, people forget that they were developed for the UK army from the start.

Unfortunately, there are a few vehicles that were developed for various world armies and that does not necessarily mean it is a wonderful vehicle.
The Land Rover Defender is a bit different, but I would still want a military version of it. The modern version with British electronics and wiring scare me. The British can design some incredible vehicles but their electrical systems are absolutely terrifying. I've never seen a vehicle actually change the colour of wires from one end of a vehicle to the other until working on British vehicles. And this is not limited to one particular brand. I've seen it on a couple different British makes.
So yeah, strip out all of the goodies and maybe I'll trust a Land Rover.
Hummer should have remained. i still despise GM for not selling the brand back to AM General.

I am still thankful that they kept the brand rather than selling it to a Chinese manufacturer. This gives me hope that maybe some day, if conditions are right, the brand will be revived. Who knows. But I'd rather see it like it is than turned into something that AM General was unable to oversee.

well Am General is starting to renew and breath life back into the "humvee" brand name...look out....I do not believe you will ever see Hummer back at Am General nor do I see GM ever bringing it back to life but who knows what AM General has up their sleeves, don;t count them out...you may not see a mass produced like a GM truck but something bit more exclusive..at least that is what I think..but who am I anyways

Ohh I know that tone ! Hm mm <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />? Me think , no correction . Me know a lot El'Dwaxman . <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' /> Ohh i know ..Lol . As for the Hummer brand (GM) ever rising again ? GM REFUSED ALOT OF STRONG OTHER BIDS LIKE RASER AND THE CANADIAN COMPANY Eidos Canada Inc. Why??? Yes GM signed multi million dollar deal this year for merchandising of the brand . Mainly the toy companies . I think they were waiting to see if there might be a US administration change in the future . If so ? Then they could give the AT@T guy ? Puppet for the current US government the boot . Bobby L and few other good old boys are still in the circle that counts in Detroit . They know there is still a huge demand for the brand around the world .. If they made the modifications that they should of been done . Economy/pricing/image . Not make is so open for criticisms . It would be back to the days when it was unstoppable . Yes i know if it was to be . It would be the H3 line and most likely under the GMC badge . I do believe that if the US administration did change to a more conservative government and GM did the proper mods . I think the Brand could be restored and share holders would back it also . Which in the scheme of things they are the ones who really call the shots and hold the cards . Ahhh if only to be a Billionaire ! I would really walk up the bee's nest with a bat and Giver . Maybe that should of been the plan of attack from the beginning . HUMMER owners and lovers of the brand buy shares of GM . Then dictate how it's going to be !

i completely agree making the brand more exclusive would be great as the H1 was on sale long before the H2 and H3 ever saw the road and no one had any issues or criticism of it (almost). I would love to see the H2 return with the Duramax diesel and the H3 coming back with a baby duramax diesel. however i would love them to place an LS7 motor in the Alpha versions of both trucks. however an LSX454 engine for the H2 and the LS7 for the H3 (a la Hummer H3 R) . Other companies are trying to fill in where hummer left off. still no real icons to date (G-class too over priced and doesnt appeal to most, Defender not sold here despite good pricing) . i would love to see the brand return. i m sure i will be amongst the first in line for the new H2. i was even saving for it.

Unfortunately, I think the stigma attached to the Hummer brand would not be negated by putting a Duramax in it. While it might be blasphemy, I believe that GM's only hope for a resurgence in the brand will be if they are able to expand upon the Voltec drivetrain to something more heavy-duty. Vehicles like the HX seemed to be quite a ways along in terms of development. While likely not as simple as this, I like to think that someday, GM could simply drop a heavy-duty Voltec drivetrain into it, coupled with a decent 4WD system, and it would be off to the races.
Ah, to dream...
