What happened here.. I thought you guys were set to do the work and pull them out.. sorry I am a bit delayed in this response.. been a bit ill.. too bad the HUmmer community couldn't have gotten a boost by recovery for these trucks..people need to see Hummers in a better light..we are not like a lot of those other off road clubs looking to just rip everything up...they all give us a bad name..
Play safe guys!

Re: Quebec Chapter Trail Ride Dec. 10th
Gee,, seeing that poor dodge, helpless,, real dead weight behind the Unimog,, the Dodge driver couldn't do anything except being dragged out.
I think that the dodge driver will remember this little fun trip in the trail. $$$$ in damages
The Ford,, ouffff, straight to scrap yard. a real piece of shit.
The Unimog was really the best vehicle for this. It did a super job in the recovery.
Now I understand for the Ford,, you were not sure it would have stayed in 1 piece at the end of the trail, floppy side panels , rust all over, you probably would have left pieces all along the trail.

Re: Quebec Chapter Trail Ride Dec. 10th
Well it was a beautiful sunny day, but not without some minor mishaps!
We had to replace one CV shaft on the trail in a totally nothing area on Jimmy's H2. Really where it broke there was no rock ledge, no nothing...just broken CV joint...we installed my spare and kept rolling.
I almost played submarine captain in a section that normally doesn't have more than 24" of water. The beavers have been busy and the rain and the snow leading up to this weekend helped the water levels climb to almost 48"!!! The ice was quite thick...I was trying to keep the air intake side on solid ground just in case...when I broke thru and had the water 12" from my driver's window...I knew we needed to back out and turn around, the water in that section is normally only ankle deep!!!
The FJ aka Hum-Ota/Toy-Mer got a rock oriented alignment and had severe toe in for the drive home.
All in all a wonderful day!
Thanks, to all who Came; Jean-Luc, Marc, Alain, Jimmy, Tony! You guys are awesome!
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We will put all the pictures and videos in a New Post!

Thanks guys for my first awesome winter run......besides of the broken right front half shaft....it was all FUN FUN FUN.......special thanks to Kevin who provided my H2 with the half shaft....i mean, where can you get a half shaft in the middle of nowhere, on saturday . It was a very good experience for me and first time replacing parts on my H2 on the top of the snow covered mountain .
