Hi, I bought my H3 new in '07, the Alpha was not out yet, if it was I would have bought that, you can never have to much power...I like the 5 cylinder, I'm trying to find ways to bump up my horsepower, by exhaust and air filters, as to try and not void warranty. All that said, I get about 18 mpg's with it. I do alot of highway driving. Hope that helped a bit.

Ok our H3 is an Alpha yes but more important is get the adventure package you'll escape our front diff and transferr case problems. Stronger engine and drive train.

The US website doesn't acknowledge the manual gets better mileage... however Canada does.
