OK enough with the cleaning of the battery terminals guys, this problem is well past that. New batteries, cleaned posts... if the battery is low enough not to activate the door locks, the truck most certainly isn't going to start!
Herhummer... do the door looks work AT ALL, even from the remote, ANY of the buttons inside, anything??
All other windows work I presume? Just the drivers window not working...
When this has happened before, it was the locks and the one window, exact same as this time?
I would be inclinded to check the connections to the module that controls this stuff. If they share the same module, the plug(s) could have worked loose, or be corroded. And, last but not least, you could always try calling Steve at Master Mechanic in Brampton(I believe)he is the GOD of Hummers, maybe he has seen that before or something similar.
Exactly where up North do you live, it sounds like you are almost at the pole!!

Sounds like to me that you have too many chiefs and not enough indians.LOL It is very hard to explain what needs to be done over e-mail. If you wish to call me and i would be happy to take some steps with you on the phone to eliminate certain concerns. Even though electrical issues are not common anything is possible and the Hummer H3 has been known for current draws that effect the battery life. That being said please give me call if needed and i will be happy to help. Steve 905-455-8888

Lol - I concur as really it's all just guess work over posts u til we can actually see what's going on.. May be a simple ground issue on the one side if the other is working..
Steve is the man and if he wasn't so darn far away.... I'd be using him! Can u believe he won't do house calls to Alberta???
( I still stand by my gm comment though )
May have to do what I do when I need parts.... Road trip!!!! Heading to montanna in the spring!

I stand by the booster battery box their real great ideas for any vehicle . It comes inside gets topped up once a week and goes out to truck. As everyone knows happiness is a warm charged battery. It also makes for good relations when neighbour is sitting waiting for CAA and you walk over and boost him. found it better than ac booster/chargers as it is totally free of hydro line and can be used anywhere (in bush or parking lot). and even can boost from power points (cig. lighter ).

Just because I drive a HUMMER don't mean I don't care about the planet.... in fact it means I can get to most parts without any help!

Re: At my wits end!
Wow....thank you again for all the replies! And thanks Steve for the offer, I just may make that call. Ok I want to let everyone know exactly what is happening because with all these replies things are going everywhere! I bought my Hummer the month of Nov, sometime in late dec really cold night and morning it wouldn't start, battery was completely drained. Without screwing around i went out and bought a brand new battery, when that one was put back in this problem occured, no power door locks (none of them, the remote clicker flickers the lights but no doors lock) and just the drivers side power window switch does not work. All the other power switches for the other windows (on the drivers side) all work fine. When this happened I disconnected the BRAND NEW battery again cleaned all my terminals, put the terminals on and off a bunch of times and it just started working again. Now last week when i woke up to a drained battery again, looked at the receipt, realized it was still under warranty and went and got another brand new battery again, put it in the truck and of course came across the exact same problem. Was not too worried cause I figured, just do the same thing as last time....no prob. But this time nothing seems to be working! To answer some of your questions, the truck starts perfectly fine, just like in the summer time but pluged in of course, and no I'm not in the north pole....but about 5 hrs north from thunder bay.

Can't disagree with you there. I have three of them, one the battery is shot in it now, but I got a big one for Christmas, so it's all good. They are one very handy item!!

Oh boy, well I would look at the alternator for sure, but that usually becomes fairly obvious, but maybe just not bad enough yet. Otherwise, I wouldn't wait and fight too long before calling Steve. If he can't figure it out, buy a new H3.
