Hi everyone,



My wife is on the board of directors for a assisted living organization in the Niagara Region. It is called Gateway Residential & Community Support Services. They now have a more updated site on Facebook as well.



It is an interesting organization, and it took me a little while to understand exactly what they do. Basically this is for people of varying ages (all adults) with mental disabilities. They are functioning people, but have a learning problems and things like that. The organization builds housing for these people to live in, on their own, however have supervised site visits, they help teach them how to do simple cleaning, shopping etc. In some cases they even manage the individuals money so it lasts the month like it is supposed to.



Money for this operation is raised through out the year with various activities, BBQ's, Golf Tournaments, etc. and this year trying a Trivia night. She asked that I post the information and see if any of the CHC members would want to put a team or two together for the fun night. The registration flyer is attached. Any questions, let me know.
