Why not consider an overnight during the Hummer Pre Rally in May here in Quebec...I know of some great spots right beside some very secluded lakes!

Re: Early Spring Overnighter CAMPING May 26th Weekend
I would like to do the Quebec thing some day, but I don't feel I have anywhere near enough experience to be involved in that size of outing. I mean I'm not even really outfitted for small outings yet.
As for our Orillia area, I would love to try night runs, camping is out of the question for me though, with my screwed up back I would likely not get up in the morning! But, I'd like to be in on the run somehow anyway, if I'm able to make it.

Man do you ever sound like Derek when I first met him. "Come on, you'll be hooked with in the first 15 minutes". Crap, he was right too. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />
I have been out exactly once, in mud, the other time was a bit of snow but only on back roads really. It's not so much I couldn't do it, that I know I can. It's more like not being comfortable with the whole situation. Until getting the Hummer last summer, I had never gone off road in or on anything other than my dirt bikes, so I would like a little more experience before an outing of that size, so I feel a little less useless when it comes to winching etc. (which I still have to buy). I am already considering next years event though.

Hey Brian we can work with you if it at the swift you can always get a room. Can you sleep on an air bed that is off the ground that is what I have to use and works well just a thought.
As for heat no worries I will look after the fire just for the record that is piano burning!!! lmao

[/quote]
Well that's kind of what I was thinking, I could come and go. I think I tried the air bed once, it was certainly better, but not great. And I know all about your fire making skills... I have full confidence in you keeping everyone warm.
