Yes that is where I put them. However the next time I will install them in the center console to the left of the cup holders, in a straight line. A little more routing of wiring, but a way nicer install! Another great place would be on the A-pillar of the windshield, this would be the Ideal place, but simply requires a bit more patience for a clean install, but it would be the best and safest place for the switches!!

Oh, great, thanks! Yeah, I agree it will look clean but its kinda weird also to see buttons on an a-pillar....

In that case you could always install the switches here;

Sorry to bring back a dead thread but, did they stick with the aluminium front diff or did you also put in the cast iron from the alpha?

I was asking around about it, it sounds like all Alpha V8 models came with cast Iron, in addition to all 2009 and 2010 H3's regardless of package.

Ya that's what I found out. Cause I know when I emailed the guys at ridge demon they said in all honesty if a person is putting in a front locker we should also install the cast iron diff

When I still had my H3 I needed to replace the front diff - got a replacement from Ridge Demon which was the cast iron housing, re-geared with the 4.56 gears for the I5 and with an e-locker as well. VERY reasonably priced and while shipping was not cheap as it's shipped in a crate via truck freight - overall the price said and done was quite reasonable.

Definitely give my recommendation to Ridge Demon as Brody was great to deal with - very helpful through the whole process - great product and great price.

Basically the ultimate diff for the I5 H3 if you're cool with an e-locker rather than the ARB. Roughly speaking I believe you could probably go e-lockers for a bit less coin than the ARB, as it's less install time and no air compressor to purchase. Excellent product though with the ARBs so really can't go wrong either way.
