30$ front shocks

Post by pobegin »

Hi,

Anyone who need to replace their front shocks... Hummer Parts Guy have them for sale at 30$ instead of 226$ each... the shocks have "paint scratches due to transportation inside the original AM General shipping crates."

Its 100$ for 2 including shipping...

Can front shocks be used in the back? Or will they just burn out real fast?

I would think you could use front shocks for the rear... but not rear shock for the front... let's assume the front of the Hummer is heavier than the back... so... but, I might be wrong!

Just because I drive a HUMMER don't mean I don't care about the planet.... in fact it means I can get to most parts without any help!
(try that in your prius)

Thanks, it makes sense that it will be fine but sometimes the most obviouse is the most confusing. For $30 i'll go for it. At worst case I can drink beer and look at them.

I think you could ask Dave (at hummer parts guy)... or maybe ask the GM dealer?

Well, I just look at them... the length of both of them are the same, the only difference is the front are a bit heavier and it seems to be a little stronger at one end... at least it is stronger.. not weaker!

It costed me 100$ for 2 (shipping and customs)... last year, there was the same deal for rear shocks... now I'll have to install them...

I would be amazed if these could be used on an H2. Please let us know what you find out.
