Love the gas tank feature, all though, if it were me I would have built a cage around them with a removable locking pin that goes through the handle, into the metal cage. Just eliminates the use of tiedowns and steel cable. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Those led lights fit that space in the front bumper quite nicely!

Re: H2 follow up
Interesting way to mount your hi-lift. I was thinking about mounting mine to the carrier also, but horizontally instead of vertically. Any reason you went vertical?

Re: H2 follow up
the reason i did the hi lift vertical was to clear the hing side mount with out mounting it off center and i really didnt want to sacrifice any apparture or departure angles on the truck so lower or farther out was no option to me
as far as the gas cans
i did consider putting metal arms threw the handles and locking them like smasher mentioned but with the design i chose
the tire got raised 5'' and once again due to the narrow space of the tow hook/mounts on the rear of the truck
one of the gas can mounts is removable (hing side) so i would of had to had a second locking location.
kinda seemed to be a pain.
the gate will open 90 deg or better and is one quick pin to remove the gas can mount to open it fully
at least with the cable it holds the gans to the center part of the carrier. if some one wants them that bad they can cut the handles on the cans tho
i tried to consider the fact that everything has to be accessible since i use the truck quite a bit.
ive also mounted a tool box inside on the rear wheel well just for extra storage
as well as a 1000w power inverter.
never know when you need to run power tools.lol
ill post pics soon

[/quote]
the gobi rack came with 4 mounts on the front and 2 for the rear.
i used the front 4 and the rest i had to modify.
all other lights had to be custom installed..i mounted a solid 8g ground frm frame to the rack so all roof lights could just be grounded to the mounts the lights are o.
that way there was way less wire to run into the truck.
