Annual Father's Day Car Show

Post by Gadgets »

This is a annual event. I went last year as a spectator. Didn't see any hummers there, but there is always a first time. I have no idea if they would set aside a space or not, if there is any, or enough interest I will contact them and find out.

Excellent! I have emailed the guy who organizes this event, to see if it is something they would like to do. If it is, I hope we can get a bunch more out, might help to gain some more members for lonely ol' me down this way.

OK, got a response back from the Autodream Group.

Brian,

That shouldn’t be a problem. I would need to know in advance approximately how many to set aside room. We usually only guarantee spots for our vendors but I think we can manage to do this for you. I can’t promise a choice location but we can work something out. Just let me know the numbers when you have a chance.. We also arrange shop tours any time. If your group is planning an outing and you think you’d like to see our place, we can arrange that.

Now, here is a problem that came to my attention last night. This car show, and the Ribfest are on the same weekend. Car show is June 17th. Ribfest is 15,16,17. I'm all for doing both, but I live here.. If we have to do one, Ribfest is a much bigger draw of people, but the car show is cooler.. but I think for us exposure is more important.

I'm with Montana, why not?

it would be a great chance to promote the club and have a blast all at once.....

Just because I drive a HUMMER don't mean I don't care about the planet.... in fact it means I can get to most parts without any help!
(try that in your prius)

I'm open to both, mostly because we have no members other then myself here, yet there are a lot of Hummers in the area. We would expose the club to a lot of people in two days.
